I'm still in awe how much Original Series music kept creeping in.
Also, episode 18? "Numian's 3rd Sonata" or whatever? Is from the original series. It's the music they'd play whenever the Cylons would appear. Very grand, very operatic. Made me burst out laughing the second I realized what it was.

Bear McCreary, HAVE MY CHILDREN.
I've said it before and I'm sure to say it again -- generally I do not like actors. They tend to be self-serving in ways that call attention to themselves that should shame anyone. Everytime I read about an actor who tells fans details of their personal life that should be kept under lock and key, or says the most skeevy things, I want to smack heads. [Don't get me started on the fans who encourage this behaviour and/or are worse. That's a whole other ball of crap.]
Anyway. I understand that actors need to walk around with giant arrows pointing at them going, "LOOK AT ME! SEE? I WILL BRING YOUR movie/tv show/reality series/magazine article/brothel/etc
PILES OF MONEY" because that's what gets them noticed, and then cast. But I don't have to like it.
Every once in a while, however, an actor will do things that make me step back and go, "OK, you're using your Evil Acting Power for GOOD!"
In that vein -- Edward James Olmos may have a share of my soul. Mary McDonnell and Whoopi Goldberg can also have a slice.
Because, DAMN, people! Chanting, "So Say We All" WITH people at the U.N.?!

For
narco, who asked, sorta:
The new BSG series is called a "reimagining" of the old series. A lot of the basics are the same: There's a big-ass ship, called a Battlestar, there are smaller ships, called Vipers. There's bad guys, called Cylons, and the bad guys destroy the twelve colonies that humanity lives on, sending a pile of ships off into space, trying to find a new home, if not Earth.
From there, well...
( this goes on and on and on )
ETA: I somehow forgot to put Jane Seymour's name in there. Duh! fixed.

Title: Collision Course
Fandom: Battlestar Galactica *cough*
Word count: 1000 on the nose
Rating: G. Squeaky clean.
Spoilers: Technically set near the end of S3. Wherever we are in the US broadcast land.
A/N:
- This has some "issues" but I'm too fond of the idea to let it stop me.
- I'll always have a fondness for the original series. There's a music vid on SciFi.com called A New Crew In Town which says it all. And it's frakkin hysterical.
- For the
picfor1000 Challenge 5. Prompt picture here
Summary: "Get two Raptors in the air. I want a look at these 'Vipers'."
